Intense and complex. Aromas of black cherry, cassis, and vanilla. On the palate, it displays flavors of dark fruit, chocolate, and espresso, with firm tannins and a long finish. A superb expression of Napa Valley Cabernet.
About the Wine
WINERY NOTES:
The wine shows slightly more tannin than the Rutherford or Howell Mountain, but is concentrated, full-bodied and truly first-growth quality. This is young and not as sexy and up front as the Rutherford or Howell Mountain, but is locked and loaded with potential. Drink it over the following 20 or more years. This is a fabulous effort that will repay cellaring.
